I contemplated whether their violent beelines (pun intended) towards me were an unfortunate result of the flowery scent I adorn myself with daily courtesy of Vera Wang or if they had reached a shady consensus to attack me every chance they got. Likely the former of the two reasons, I should resolve to wear a different perfume or discontinue wearing any scent during their prime time, but I probably won't execute either solution due to my astute desire to maintain my dignity. Why should I have to change a facet of my personality to be in accordance with mere insects? Of course it would be to my benefit, but I tend to override comfort in favor of accoutrement. 'Tis the plight of those captivated anything beauty related.
Another probable explanation for their mysterious obsession with me could be my bright lime body con skirt from H&M that I wore today with a loosely fitted flannel. Perhaps the skirt reminded them of pretty lime green Zinnias that are essentials to a colorful garden. I paired these fashion forward pieces together in an effort to welcome the wonderful 70 degree weather that we are currently experiencing. The floral head wrap serves as a complement to my orange lipstick and an expressive representation of the blooming season. Due to my affinity for not shaving my legs unless they are going to be viewed I resorted to wear black leggings. At least my leggings were able to shield my furry legs from an onslaught of stings. Whatever the reason for the bees and wasps insistence on making the process of opening the door to my home an expertly calculated task, I'd appreciate if they returned back to the hive from which they came and stayed there for the rest of my life.
Verse of the Day: "I will praise you, O Lord. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation."-Isaiah 12:1-2
