Nautical Blue, Sea-Through Green, In your Face Red





One warm winter afternoon (quite a paradoxical arrangement) , I decided to take a few flicks of my outfit on my red-stained porch. The kindly breeze facilitated in a few of the wind-blown shots and made for the perfect impromptu photo shoot. It's been a fairly friendly winter and I'm loving it! I went for the lackadaisical look and paired my favorite blue dress with the flowy charm of my green button-up, the laid-back sneakers buzzy up the ensemble.  I just recently purchased the rose gold leaf necklace and I'm really loving it as an alternative to the name plate necklace I previously wanted and as for the makeup I opted for a bold red matte lipstick by Mac. I also tickled the apples of my cheeks with Taj Mahal by Nars.

Celebration, Everywhere!

Alright, alright. I'm a little late, but hey, at least I'm here! I celebrated my 17th birthday last week and I feel that it was truly my best birthday yet! My best friend and I were able to hang out the entire day; we chilled at the mall, stretched out on the Sleep Number beds at HHgregg, feasted on Piri Piri chicken at Boneheads and came home to a delightfully decorated and delicious dessert (which was cake, of course, but how'd ya like my alliteration there?).  Overall I enjoyed the day and I'm so thankful to have been blessed with such incredible and loving people. Here's to an amazing rest of the year!

Tangled in Thought

I felt the need to accentuate my relatively effete outfit with a touch of stud-crazed punk. My new H&M sneakers did the job well as they studded detail on the outer sides combined perfectly with my black jeans and flowing magenta top a la Charlotte Russe. The 60's inspired polka-dotted scarf was the delicious icing on top, finishing the ensemble fabulously. My gold hoop earrings coincided well with my choice of footwear; accessorizing is always made simple when you have some classic earrings lying around, they do your outfit good.  

This month I feel the need to step then blog up tenfold. Since I'm just beginning to lay a foundation in the blogging world, things may seem a bit underdeveloped but have no fear! I'm a speedy little learner and I'll pick up on the mechanics that accompany this fashion-loving medium soon. I suppose I'm a bit uninspired at the moment, but periods of creativity-block are not reason enough for me to neglect my baby--my little two post rugrat. Comical, right? Oh, I'm just on the come up, trying to find my place. Expect to see changes in the sorts of posts I put up, as my inspiration stems from just about everywhere. I'm eager to see where March takes you and I, bloggy. Don't be scared, I'm gonna give you all of my loving. I'm even posting it on the internet to keep me in check! 

Anyways, I celebrated my 17th birthday yesterday! I'm awfully blessed to have been able to reach this milestone. That means I've been twirled around this planet a whopping seventeen times (mind-blowing, huh?), I've lived a total of 6,205 days and I have inhaled air once for every 53,112,000 seconds since I've  been alive. Absolutely incredible. I'll post more deets tomorrow!
